The deck dressed before anyone came aboard: white running along the rails, gypsophila at the shrouds, tables laid on the foredeck.
It ran past sunset. The lights came on and stayed on, and the water underneath went green.

Anchored in a cove through the afternoon: cold cuts and cheese out on the cockpit table, breadsticks, two bottles of white open, the rocks close behind.
The rest of it is what the hours look like without a schedule — the table under the bimini, the foredeck to yourself, and the whole group still aboard when the light goes.
